Ferdinand Dorsch (10/12/1875 Funfkirchen, Pecs, Hungary - 1/9/1938 Dresden, Blasewitz) German painter
He studied under L. Pohle and at the Academy in Dresden, then in 1895 under G. Kuehl. From 1898 to 1901 he stayed in Vienna, then returned to Dresden. Member of the Elbier Art Association. He painted mainly genre and figural paintings, also landscapes. His works are represented in the Leipzig Museum, a modern gallery and the City Museum in Dresden. To celebrate his fiftieth, his collective exhibition was held in January 1926 in the Saxon Art Association, Brühlische Terasse.
