Gold brooch and hinge, with a large cameo

Gold, fineness Au 585 / 1000. Total weight 16.25 grams. Oval in shape, with an upper fixed swivel handle, at the back with a needle and a safety lock. Oval cut cameo made of sea shell - with a relief motif of an ancient sitting goddess with a lyre, a standing angel with an open book with notes. A scene depicted in an idyllic landscape with ancient architecture. Cameo set, in a vertical raised gold circle, and a lower wider flat oval frame. Marked - 14 K.. Europe 1880 - 1930.
