Emanuel Hosperger (March 21, 1891 Prague - 1984 Prague) painter


Study: Academy of Bildenden Künste in Munich, prof. Bruckner. He painted marine and seaside landscapes under the influence of the painter Benes Knüpfer, whom he met during his Prague stay in Prague in 1908. He undertook study trips to the coastal states of Europe. In later years he was also involved in landscape painting of mountain areas, especially from the High Tatras in Slovakia. He exhibited in Prague and other Czech cities, also abroad. In 1936 he received an award in Opatia (Yugoslavia) for his painting Raging Sea.
