Bohumil Knyttl (4.5. 1903 in Kobylice u Nového Bydžova - 20.8. 1977 in Ostrava) - painter
He studied painting privately with B. Popovic and M. Milanovic at the Academy of Fine Arts in Belgrade. Then he restored paintings in the castle in Nové Hrady and in the museum in Čáslav. 1937-1938 lived in the Tatras, where he painted a set of paintings Slovak Paradise, which he exhibited in Slovakia. In 1941 he began painting the impressionist landscapes of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. From 1947 he worked as a restorer. He lived in Příchovice near Tanvald and Liberec, in 1974 he moved to Ostrava.
