Jiří Kodl ( April 3, 1889 in Písek - October 29, 1955 ) painter, architect

He studied under professor Koula at the Prague Technical University. He traveled to Germany, Sweden, Poland and Paris, where he stayed in 1926. Member of the Manes Association of Fine Artists, with which he exhibited in 1932 in Myslbek. In 1937 he exhibited at the Snoblova Gallery in Prague. Since 1928 he has exhibited collectively at the member exhibitions of SVU Manes, also with the Fine Arts Group in Prague. He was a landscape painter using the technique of watercolor, he mostly drew his ideas in his native Písek region.
