Jaroslav Kovář (1.2. 1936 in Brno - ?) - graphic designer
He studied at the SUPŠ in Prague (1951-1955) and at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague (1955-1963). He is the son of the painter and graphic artist Jaroslav Kovář. In 1979 he received a scholarship from the Aldegrever Society in Germany. He focuses on graphics, he works mainly with the technique of black and white etching. His exclusively non-figurative work is not an intention, but an attempt to remove the form from any visual concretisations. He draws inspiration for his dynamic conception of space and the expressivity of the form from the spiritual link of the Czech Baroque and the surrealistic poets of modern art.
