Large pendant with figurative motif

Electroplating, white metal. Relief motif. Taking down the body of Christ from the cross. In historicist style. Oval plate on the front side decorated with figural relief theme 'The descent from the cross', set in an oval metal frame with handle and metal hinge. In the style of Baroque pendants which were often made as souvenir jewellery for famous and important church celebrations. Europe 1870 - 1910. Height 9 cm, width 5 cm.
