Pavel Lisy (April 7, 1912 Hostomice, Beroun - April 11, 1990 Prague) illustrator, graphic artist, draftsman, painter
Studied: School of Decorative Arts in Prague. He has illustrated more than eighty books. Since 1964 he has created for the Czechoslovak Radio magazine a series of nine hundred portrait drawings of literary personalities. For twenty years he worked on the Agricultural Educational Dictionary - twelve volumes, 175 color boards, twenty-five hundred watercolor illustrations. He supplied Prague motives for issuing colorful postcards. Member - Czech Fund of Fine Arts, Czech Artists Association, Marold Association of Fine Artists. He has exhibited abroad and in many Czech cities.
