Ruzena Nekutova ( March 13, 1872 Prague - May 25, 1933 Prague ) painter
Painter of landscapes, still lifes and flowers in Prague, where she was the school principal. A pupil of Ferdinand Engelmüller. She sometimes exhibited with the V. U. Circle and once collectively in the Rubes Gallery. From her travels in the mountains, she preferred to capture mountain motifs, like her friend Marie Chodounska. She got to know Brittany, the Slovenian Alps, the Tatras and the Dalmatian coast. A posthumous exhibition of her works, mostly oils and watercolors, was held in January 1934 in Topic's salon in Prague (65 works, eg "Chapel by the Sea", "South Town", "Korcula", "Ahave", etc.)
