Vilem Topinka ( May 22, 1909 Prostejov - July 7, 1977 Prostejov) painter

He studied at the private school of painter professor of drawing Frantisek Myslivec in Brno. He painted landscapes, still lifes, figural motifs, costume studies, theater decorations. A turning point in his work was a meeting with Jan Uprka (son of the painter Joza Uprka) during his study stay in Moravian Slovakia. Since then, he has devoted himself only to Hana folklore, motifs from the Drahanska Highlands and the Hana landscape.
