Emil Wänke ( February 13, 1901 in Prague - ? ) painter and graphic artist


He studied under Professor E. Dite at the School of Applied Arts in Prague under prof. J. Loukota, J. Obrovsky, K. Krattner, A. Brömse, F. Thiele at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He focused on landscape painting, pragues and portraiture. He was most famous for his old Prague motifs made mostly by color etching. In 1925 and 1937 he exhibited in the Rubes Gallery in Prague, in 1934 in Policka, in 1934 and 1935 he exhibited with the Brotherhood of Fine Arts in Prague.
