Josef Žák (11. června 1899 v Uheřicích - 13. dubna 1980 v Praze) - sochař

He was the assistant of professor J. Štursa at the Academy of Fine Arts in Prague. He helped to transfer the scenic works of various authors into stone (more than 50 figures by Karel Dvořák's plastic models). He also realized the work of his wife Karla Vobišová-Žáková (the monument of Eliška Krásnohorská in Prague and others). He mainly focused on small sculptures and portraits.
